Reputation Institute Rankings of most “Reputable” American Companies

Forbes recently released their ranking of the 153 most reputable American Companies, according to a survey by the Reputation Institute.

The link to the full list can be found here:

The top 10 include:

  1. Johnson & Johnson
  2. Kraft Foods
  3. UPS
  4. General Mills
  5. Fed Ex
  6. Whirl Pool
  7. Walt Disney Company
  8. Google
  9. Caterpillar
  10. Costco Wholesale

What do you think of this list? Any glaring omissions?  Tell me why you think so?  Reputation can be a murky thing to quantify but RI does a good job of it.  Also, any ideas of how any of these companies will be engaging South Africa and the World Cup?  I’ll do some further digging on this topic and will also cross reference the rest of the list against the biggest FIFA Partners (Hyundai/Kia, Coca Cola, Adidas, Visa,Sony, Emirates) and FIFA’s WC sponsors (Budweiser, MTN, Castrol, Continental, Satyam, and McD’s).
