Insight into Coca Cola in Africa

Marco Puccia, a great CSR blogger based in Washington, DC has a post that provides greater detail and insight into Coca Cola’s operations in Africa.  This isn’t a CSR specific post but being a major World Cup sponsor, this post and accompanying video does provide some insight into the long-term commitment Coca-Cola has made in the continent long before South Africa was awarded the World Cup.  Coca-Cola has long been lauded for leveraging their impressive logistics, marketing, and communications reach for helping distribute anti-retrovirals and HIV/AIDS education materials to even the most rural locations around Africa (as long as they can get Coca-Cola bottles there).  With this history of commitment to the continent, it will be very interesting to see what they have planned during the build-up to the World Cup.  Enjoy the post and video!
